Before Microsoft Visual Studio comes into the picture Microsoft Visual InterDev used to develop ASP pages.
Visual Web Developer and Visual Web Developer Express have replaced InterDev in the Visual Studio suite of tools.
Hence Microsoft Visual InterDev was replaced by Microsoft Visual Studio.
